Five on Friday: Super Bowl fun

Happy Friday Friends!

Well even though neither of our teams made it to the Super Bowl (Vikings for Hubby and Packers for me), we still enjoy watching the game and making a little "event" of it. I thought I'd share some fun football ideas I found on pinterest for my five this week.

ONE

These Denver Broncos Rice Krispie Treats Team Jerseys are a fun dessert for a game day football party, an NFL playoff party, a Super Bowl party food or as a special snack for the Denver Broncos fans in your life. For more fun Rice Krispie Treats ideas follow us at http://www.pinterest.com/2SistersCraft/:

I thought these rice krispies treats are really cute! How they shaped the mixture into football jersey shapes and then decorated them in team colors. So easy and fun, but truly adorable. These would be cute for a kiddo's football themed birthday party too. You can find the link for these here.

TWO

Super Bowl party idea - Chocolate covered strawberry footballs .... I thought of @haydenmaxon and @theresabosler and @Mary Powers Bosler and @elizabethbosler lol that's a lot if people buuut... Y'all like football and this is a cool idea for game day snacks haha:

And of course there's always decorating your food like footballs. Always a cute option - like these chocolate covered strawberries and this cracker and cheese plate. You can find the links here  and here.

Love the idea of using empty soda cans to make a field goal post, perfect for Super Bowl party decorations! #ad:

And I think it's so fun to dress up your table to make the "event" feel more festive. Astro turf tablecloth, make your own field goal posts, even dress up water bottle with referee printables and whistles. SO cute!! You can find the links herehere, and here.

FOUR

Whether you’re a die-hard fan or just there for the party, football season brings fun, friendship and food together in one living room. With so many mouths to feed on big game day, the best option for keeping everyone happy is serving foods that guests can easily customize. Our go-to this year? A mashed potato bar!:

nacho Bar for Monday night football:

And I love the "bar" idea for a super bowl party. Like this mashed potato bar or nachos bar. Or even a baked potato bar - you could make your crockpot filled with any of these for great fun. Yummy, interactive and fun for all!  You can find the links here and here.

FIVE

Individual 7 Layer Dip Cups Recipe! -- You could use fat free shredded cheese, fat free sour cream, and fat free beans. Not much you can do about the guacamole. Oh and be sure to bake your chips.:

Cherry Cheesecake Dip from www.thecounrtycook.net - must make for the super bowl or for dessert anytime And it's no bake - yum!:

  8. People come up with the most inventive food ideas! These are great, but I don't think I'd have the patience for half of them. Chocolate dipped strawberry footballs do look so cute though. That full-length football field chip tray is something! You'll have to show us what you actually made for YOUR party ;) Enjoy the game ... sorry your teams aren't in it.
