Blogaversary Giveaway!

The weekend is here Friends. Yay! Happy TGIF to you All.

I mentioned recently that my 2 year blogaversary came along last week. I still can't believe it's been 2 years already. It has definitely flown by! And I've loved every second of it. I enjoy this time with you, my dear Friends, so much and I hope to do it for a long time to come! In order to thank all of you - as you really make blogging the joy it is for me - I wanted to do a little giveway.  I thought I would focus on the Christmas spirit and the holidays ahead.

So in the spirit of Christmas and the holidays I have a few fun goodies and even one thing not shown yet!

First of all, we have a lovely abalone angel necklace. Because I have a thing for angels anyway, plus they remind me of the real reason for the season. And she's just pretty. I got her at a local gift shop in the area and she was made in Canada. (I live pretty close to the border in northern WI).

And what is Christmas without pretty ornaments for the tree? This was also a local gift shop find and it represents my northwoods so well. We have deer around here constantly! Plus 3/4 of the ornament looks like part of a birch tree - and I practically live in forests of birch around here. So maybe it will help you think of your little northwoods friend each year you put it out. ;)

And frosted cranberry holiday soap. Well, because - FUN!

**And the item not pictured is the tin of sugared pecans you will be getting as well. My homemade (famous for them) sugared pecans. They stay good for weeks. They're wonderful to just munch. Or they're superb on a holiday salad you may want to serve!

So if these goodies sound good to you, please leave me a comment about one of your favorite things about Christmas.....or a fun holiday memory. Any wonderful comment will enter you to win. You don't have to live in the U.S. to win either. One week from today - next Friday - I will have my lovely assistant (Miss Annie) help me draw one winner at random and I will announce the winner then. Again, thanks for making blogging such a joy for me! I'm so thankful for you all!!

Good luck. ;) xo

  1. My favourite memory of Christmas is waking very early, while it was still dark and scrambling to the bottom of my bed to make sure that Santa had filled my stocking. If he had, I didn't investigate further, but cuddled up with the stocking and went back to sleep. I wish with all my heart that we could bring back those innocent and magical times. Blessings

  5. I think my comment disappeared. Anyway, this is a lovely giveaway and will definitely remind the winner of northern Wisconsin and YOU. Happy blogaversary! My favorite Christmas memory is when at age 10 I got the figure skates I'd wanted. Mom made sure I wasn't going to grow out of them any time soon.

    1. I remember learning to ice skate when I was young and thinking it was so cool that all that frozen water was beneath me as I would glide! And it sounds like you had a smart Mom! ;) xo

  6. What a lovely giveaway Carrie, and congratulations on your bloggiversary. Your blog is always a pleasure to see and enjoy. My favourite Christmas memory is when my children were small, seeing their wonderment on Christmas morning that Santa has called and left their gifts. This year, the first in over ten years, I have all my children and grandchildren coming to stay. I am in heaven at the prospect, and will do my woodland theme Christmas tree for them. Your Christmas bauble would look perfect! Happy Christmas prep, my friend. xx

  8. Happy Blogaversary Carrie! Time sure does have a way of flying by here in blogland ;) You have chosen such beautiful gifts, all with a connection to you personal which I love.

My favourite Christmas tradition happens on Christmas morning. Since our kids were small, they have both (along with the dog!) come into our room and hopped onto the bed with us to open stockings. My kids are no longer little. My daughter is 22 and my son is 19 and over 6 feet. I make sure there are warm woolly blankets on our bedroom loveseat for the morning because no one wants to run out to turn up the furnace, and it's COLD! It's the best part of the day because we're all silly and happy. Even the dog is given a stocking and he knows to rip into the wrapping paper just like us ;)

    Enjoy your weekend!

  9. One of my favorite Christmases was 5 or 6, when we came home from church and and looking at Christmas lights, my sister and I saw that Santa left us a pink oven and frig!!! It was the sixties. Lol. I also remember that one Christmas I stayed up for hours after my sons went to sleep wrapping gifts. I watched It's a Wonderful Life 4 times.

  10. Happy Blogaversary my friend. How sweet is this that you are giving away such sweet gifts at this time of year. That Angel is absolutely beautiful.

One of my favorite things about Christmas is people in general. I love to people watch at the malls and it really does seem like people transform and go out of their way to be merry and generous during Christmas. If only we can find a way to bottle the Christmas spirit so we can douse the grouches the rest of the year.

My other favorite thing is the homemade goodies. I always do a plate for each of the neighbors of 5 or 6 of my favorite sweet recipes. I watch for Christmas themed plates at the second hand stores throughout the year to put the goodies on as part of the gift.

I sure wish I'd known you when I lived in the U.P. I KNOW we would have been fast friends - we have so much in common.
