Happy Homemaker Monday

Hello my Dear Friends & Happy Monday!

I'm sorry that yet again I've been busy and more absent last week. I'll be playing catch up this week and make visits to you!! The end of last week a girlfriend of mine had tickets to an author/motivational speaker that she loves and I went with her for a couple of days out-of-town. It was so fun! Neat event, great speakers, yummy food, shopping, great girlie time and conversation. I'm so blessed with the best friends in the world. ;)  However, now I should actually be around and no more running out-of-town for a while and my weeks should finally get back to normal. Lol

We had a nice weekend here too once I got back. Some snuggling in on a rainy day. Got things done around the house. Went to dinner with my Dad & step Mom and gave them tour of the new office building. More football snuggle time with Hubby. I hope you had a great weekend too and have a very blessed week ahead...

THE WEATHER OUTSIDE IS:

Sunny and lovely. Supposed to be in low 60's today. But then rest of the week going to cool down into the 40's and 50's. Yikes!! Snuggle in time for sure. And later in the week supposed to get some rain too.

ON THE BREAKFAST PLATE THIS MORNING:

My Friend and I had a trip to Trader Joe's on our adventures and I picked up lots of goodies, including some pumpkin spice O's cereal - so yummy! (don't judge) And I had some of that this AM with my creme brulee coffee

RIGHT NOW I AM:

Listening to some Celtic music and writing in my planner as I also work on this

AS I LOOK OUTSIDE MY WINDOW:

I see the sun shining on the bay - however a lot more bare trees back there now. We had some windy weather this past weekend and blew lots of leaves away. Boo :(

AS I LOOK AROUND THE HOUSE:

Tidy and clean. Did some family cleaning time (Hubby and kiddos dove in too). Just some laundry going and other daily chores today. I need to change our sheets too

ON TODAY'S (& this week's) TO DO LIST:

Busy week. Lunch with my Aunt. Day out with my Mom for her birthday. College night at school for my Boy (he's a junior and getting things from colleges already - help me!!). Errands. MIL time. My hospice class. Both kiddos have hockey a lot this week. Other appointments.

CURRENTLY READING:

More Louise Penney series

ON THE TV TODAY:

Outlander, Dancing with the Stars tonight, Gold Rush, Cooking shows, Survivor, The Good Doctor, This is Us, Greys Anatomy, Halloween Baking championship

ON THE MENU THIS WEEK:

WEDNESDAY:easy night - hockey (maybe Subway or other?)

THURSDAY: spiced vanilla french toast, bacon & sausage, fruit

FRIDAY: BBQ meatballs, baked potatoes, garlic & lemon green beans

WHAT I AM CREATING AT THE MOMENT

Finishing up my Grandpa's scrapbook. Getting legacy box filled with old slides to send in. Working on project for hopeful planned future Etsy store.

NEW RECIPE I WANT TO TRY THIS WEEK:

PW's peanut butter apple delights (I PROMISE I will share these this week!!) Plus, may try new dessert this week - pumpkin chocolate chip bars, or snickerdoodle bars

TIP OF THE WEEK:

Get the book: http://amzn.to/1TIbu7l

Annie loves playing hangman with me - going to keep this tip in the memory banks ;)

FROM THE CAMERA:

Some autumn pics around my home - and had to share this beautiful arrangement sent to me by my dear blogging friend Patsy. Still looking fresh and beautiful. Thanks again dearest Patsy!!

Some bits of Fall in my dining room hutch cubbies - including the pumpkin juice bottle I kept from Harry Potter world at Universal Studios we visited on our trip last year ;)

And on chilly mornings there's nothing like having my coffee by the fire

  1. You always find the best autumn quotes! My son's a junior also (guess I didn't realize our boys were in the same grade) and he gets the college mail as well. Not quite ready for it all either. Hope you have a wonderful week!
