Happy Homemaker Monday

Hello Dear Friends and Happy Monday to you

I see that my friend Sandra, that hosts HHM, changed up some of the categories. So I'm going to change mine to follow her....just fyi for the changes you'll find ahead.  I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. We had a nice mellow one here... which was kind of nice after all the crazy of the holidays. I had hauled many of the bins of decorations to garage storage. But I also have some storage downstairs. I had hauled things down there but hadn't put it away in the the crawl space. So I worked on a lot of that this weekend. I pulled out the fall and spring/summer decorations in order to put Christmas all in the way back. Then put back everything else accordingly. And i scrubbed and vacuumed everything really well too. It was a project but I'm glad I took the time and now it's done. But I also rested, caught up on some movies, took a bath and did some baking. It was wonderful. And one of the most fun parts is I finished booking a trip for Annie and I to Florida in February to visit Aaron! She has a break from school so we're going to see him and also stay at one of the Disneyworld resorts and do the Disney parks too. Sun and fun soon. Yay! ☀️

And today Annie didn't have school due to MLK Day. But she had make up hockey games. So I spent all day at the rink and that's why I'm getting to this late.

THE WEATHER OUTSIDE IS:

ON THE BREAKFAST PLATE THIS MORNING

Went to caribou coffee with Annie's friend that came to watch her hockey games too, since we had time to kill after dropping Annie off to get ready. I had a chicken chorizo, meunster cheese, and egg breakfast sandwich that happened to come on a gluten free bun. It was really good! And a cabin bar mocha coffee which was a coffee with a little bit of chocolate and hint of peanut butter too. Total dessert kind of coffee and was naughty and yummy! 😋

HOW I AM FEELING THIS MORNING:

I'm still a little sore from all of the hauling over the weekend. And I did some workouts too.

ON MY MIND:

Looking ahead to my schedule for the week and things to accomplish. Also, more reading I want to do on our future trip. Tips for the parks, book fast passes ahead of time etc.

AS I LOOK AROUND THE HOUSE

overall pretty tidy and sun shining in

CHORE I'M NOT LOOKING FORWARD TO THIS WEEK:

I really need to tackle more deep cleaning and even carpet shampooing - which I don't enjoy.

  1. Good morning Carrie. Oh boy, what a pile of snow - we could do with a bit of that here, just to cool us off a bit, he he. Well done girl with all the house cleaning, you are an inspiration. I am decluttering a few boxes and cupboards this week. As always your coloured window is just lovely, but the view out to the snow is very special too! xxx

  2. Hey, friend!
What is it with carpets this week? You, Sandra, me? It's a conspiracy. Your weather was actually warmer than mine today, BRRRRRR!
I love all of your photos as usual.
    Have a wonderful week!

  3. Sounds like a good weekend! It always feels good to get things packed, sorted and put away. And the relaxing bath was well deserved.
Lots of snow on this side of the lake too - and more predicted!

  5. That coffee sounds so yummy it almost makes me sad to live in the land of Starbucks, LOL! Such a beautiful window and I've bought that Love bath and shower gel before, one of the best smelling ones. Florida sounds great about now. Hope you have a wonderful week!

  7. You have been quite busy! I LOVE that type of organizing at this time of year - always makes me feel like it's going to be a smooth year when everything is all lined up and ready to go!

I'm so jealous of your February trip to Disneyworld and visiting Aaron. You are going to have so much fun and will definitely not like returning to the snow! Especially those piles outside your window. I always hated this time of year when you'd get the drive or walkway shoveled and then the plow came by and "rearranged" the snow for you!

I've been hooked on Butterscotch Latte's lately myselfPERFECT quote for this week. I hope you have a WONDERFUL week my friend.

  8. I don't miss carpet cleaning. Now that we have hardwood floors, I just need to sweep everyday. I love the picture of your puppy...too cute.
I'm jealous of your snow. We've only had a dusting here.
