Simple Bread Pudding

My hubby loves bread pudding.  It's definitely one of his favorite desserts.  Other recipes I've made are often more time consuming or include more involved steps.  I had found this nice simple recipe off a cooking website in the past and I changed a few things, but have found it to be easy yet just as yummy as more involved bread puddings.  It's pretty versatile too in that I've made it with only 3 eggs and I've made it with 4 and either works well depending what you have on hand. Also in a pinch you can use milk instead of half & half but I like it much better (richer) with half & half. You could easily substitute heavy cream as well. Also, you can use toppings of your choice...raisins, chocolate chips or even nuts for a little crunch.  The other night I used chocolate and butterscotch chips and it was SO good!!

This was also another card I added to my daughter's recipe scrapbook, that you can read about here, so here's the recipe for you:

I think the combo of the chocolate and butterscotch chips made it extra yummy!

I think whipped topping is good on bread pudding, but we enjoyed ours warm with vanilla ice cream and a little drizzle of caramel.  Delicious!!

**PS: I've added my instagram account on here too. Please click on the link on the top right if you're on there as I would love to connect with you that way too!
