Happy Homemaker Monday

Good morning Friends

Happy Monday to you! I hope you had a wonderful weekend. Mine was productive and relaxing. Lol I accomplished lots of homemaking things. But I also got some nice time in my bathrobe snuggling in and catching up on netflix.  Ad came for dinner one night, which was nice. And he helped fix a few things for me. I'm so grateful we can still be friends. We watch all of Annie's home hockey games together and talk almost everyday. He took Annie and her friend to a fun hockey game over the weekend too. And they had summer hockey tryouts together. I try to encourage them to have more time together as I get Annie all the time because I live in our family home and Annie chooses to be here full time. ❤️

I also spent some fun time with my Mom. And talked more with my "friend" that I've been communicating with for months. He lives in Alaska and is working on a move much closer to me. He's originally from MN. He is in law enforcement and was actually on an episode of Alaska State Troopers years ago. Lol I just keep praying and leaving everything in the Lord's hands, that everything will fall into place as it should. πŸ™ I have done some dating but I haven't had a friendship and relationship like this one yet, but I know dating in person may be different. No matter what, I'm grateful to have a great friend as I continue to navigate this new chapter. I thought that since he's actually probably going to become more of a "reality" in my life, that I would share more with you. Enough of my adventures in dating πŸ˜‚ - On to the week ahead...

ON THE BREAKFAST PLATE THIS MORNING

HOW I AM FEELING THIS MORNING:

Sore! I've been keeping up with my workouts. But also I've had some pain and inflammation in my fingers and wondering if maybe a precursor to arthritis? Ugh πŸ˜‘  But it doesn't affect my daily life or anything. I just have some days where I feel pain there. I sometimes have tumeric tea and that helps (it's a natural anti-inflammatory)

ON MY MIND:

So sad for Kobe Bryant and his daughter's recent death from the helicopter crash. How devastating that must be for their family. πŸ™ My prayers and heart go out to them.

Still working and thinking on our future FL and Disney trip too! And just thinking ahead to his week. Annie has 3 hockey games! So it will be a busy one...as well as errands, groceries, appts, bring food to FIL, hospice volunteering etc

AS I LOOK AROUND THE HOUSE

Pretty tidy and I have some Valentine's decorations out to brighten up the blah after all the Christmas stuff is done. I shared some pics below. Annie needs to give her birdcage a cleaning...it's definitely overdue. I will probably help her with it later today.

CHORE I'M NOT LOOKING FORWARD TO THIS WEEK:

Not really a chore, but I have to get my car in to be repaired. Last week an elderly lady, that had no idea how a roudabout worked, plowed right into me. Thankfully no one was hurt. And my car is still driveable. She was completely at fault and thankfully she has insurance. But it's an inconvenience. Again, grateful for Adam as he's been handling it all for me.

Happy Homemaker Monday

Hello Dear Friends and Happy Monday to you

I see that my friend Sandra, that hosts HHM, changed up some of the categories. So I'm going to change mine to follow her....just fyi for the changes you'll find ahead.  I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. We had a nice mellow one here... which was kind of nice after all the crazy of the holidays. I had hauled many of the bins of decorations to garage storage. But I also have some storage downstairs. I had hauled things down there but hadn't put it away in the the crawl space. So I worked on a lot of that this weekend. I pulled out the fall and spring/summer decorations in order to put Christmas all in the way back. Then put back everything else accordingly. And i scrubbed and vacuumed everything really well too. It was a project but I'm glad I took the time and now it's done. But I also rested, caught up on some movies, took a bath and did some baking. It was wonderful. And one of the most fun parts is I finished booking a trip for Annie and I to Florida in February to visit Aaron! She has a break from school so we're going to see him and also stay at one of the Disneyworld resorts and do the Disney parks too. Sun and fun soon. Yay! ☀️

And today Annie didn't have school due to MLK Day. But she had make up hockey games. So I spent all day at the rink and that's why I'm getting to this late.

THE WEATHER OUTSIDE IS:

ON THE BREAKFAST PLATE THIS MORNING

Went to caribou coffee with Annie's friend that came to watch her hockey games too, since we had time to kill after dropping Annie off to get ready. I had a chicken chorizo, meunster cheese, and egg breakfast sandwich that happened to come on a gluten free bun. It was really good! And a cabin bar mocha coffee which was a coffee with a little bit of chocolate and hint of peanut butter too. Total dessert kind of coffee and was naughty and yummy! πŸ˜‹

HOW I AM FEELING THIS MORNING:

I'm still a little sore from all of the hauling over the weekend. And I did some workouts too.

ON MY MIND:

Looking ahead to my schedule for the week and things to accomplish. Also, more reading I want to do on our future trip. Tips for the parks, book fast passes ahead of time etc.

AS I LOOK AROUND THE HOUSE

overall pretty tidy and sun shining in

CHORE I'M NOT LOOKING FORWARD TO THIS WEEK:

I really need to tackle more deep cleaning and even carpet shampooing - which I don't enjoy.

Try to get more reading in. I've been terrible and hot and cold with books. I read the newspaper each day and magazines. But I'd like to at least fully read a book or 2 a month.
