Wednesday Wonder: Bringing Me Joy Lately

Hello you blogging Beauties!!

I hope you're having such a blessed Wednesday. 💗

I thought today I would share what I know is bringing me joy recently, besides the obvious....my Hubby. I can hear you all saying, "aawwww"  I know, I'm still a sickening newlywed. Lol

So here goes....I know that Mukluk brand pj sets = happiness. They are not only adorable, they are also incredibly soft and comfortable. They are perfect for lounging to watch your favorite cheesehead football team or a cheesy Fall Hallmark movie. 💚💛😉

I know that a new hobby (like watercolors) can be fun to learn. And that it's definitely good for the brain, creativity, and even the soul. It doesn't matter that you may mess up...or you may not know light and shadow as much as you should. And that mixing the right colors can be a challenge. But the joy is in the playing around and seeing what you can do with it. Plus, it's how you improve.

Speaking of good for the soul...
I know that furry babies spark lots of joy. They can make you laugh, learn patience, and bring such comfort in their cuddles. They are definitely good for the heart and the soul. I don't know what I'd do without them.

I know that it may seem silly... but a new handbag in a fun Autumn color, with a new sunflower bag charm, can make a girl's heart go pitter pat with happiness. Sometimes it's the little things.

I know that sometimes things that are good for us, can taste good too. This soda is low sugar, has fiber, and probiotics. Yet, it's quite yummy. Who knew?

Finally, I know that a couple new scents for the season gives one's nose and mood a joyful boost. This cranberry apple candle from bath and body has such a fresh apple-y fragrance with a hint of cranberry. Very Thanksgiving goodness.

And this Autumn glow one I found on amazon. It's a wickless candle and is just made for candle lamps. It smells SOOO good. Like the coziest pumpkin pie with cinnamon & nutmeg and a bite of spice.

And I picked up a cinnamon essential oil for my diffuser. When added to any oils I already have, it elevates them to Autumn or Holiday status.

So thanks for letting me share some of these joyful things. What is sparking joy for you currently?
xoxo

Happy Homemaker Monday

Hello Friends

Happy Monday!
It's finally warming up a bit here in the northwoods. It feels like such a welcome gift after how cold it had been lately.

We had a lovely weekend here. We worked on clearing more things out of Matt's house to get it ready to rent. Matt and I went to Saturday evening mass. Then my bestie Mrs. C. came over to have Chinese food and watch the Packers with us. Mr. C had to work at an event for volleyball (he coaches his daughter's team and helps run a local program) It was such a fun and exciting game to watch! We unfortunately couldn't pull off the win - but we had a phenomenal season for being such a young team.

Then Sunday we went and watched The C's daughter play in a volleyball tourney, and came home to watch the other playoff football and how's about those Chiefs, Jean?  Pretty impressive and fun to watch We did our usuals getting things done around the house, I read lots on my kindle (on to my 2nd book of the year - I'm on fire! Lol) and did more of my exercising as I'm getting more into a regular routine. 💪🏻

Today the sun is shining - it looks to be a more mild week ahead and I'm ready to dive into it all. I hope you are too. :)

FROM THE CAMERA:

We had fun indulging in Chinese food dinner and reese's pb chip brownies when we cheered on the Pack!

But these are the low cal treats I'm usually eating these days: chocolate rice cake with a little melted marshmallow, chocolate drizzle & a few butterscotch chips - total about 100 calories

Speaking of treats...I thought you might get a kick out of the wedding cake topper I ordered for us. They will be customizing the hair to be more like our colors - but you gotta love the Packers touches!! 😍 Lol I'm doing sunflowers as a main theme to our wedding - so fits the colors well too - golden yellow with some greenery. 😉💚💛

❤️❤️❤️

I loved how this chickadee hung out forever in the middle of the birdseed wreath. Made himself right at home & was so cute! And I especially loved when Bubba thinks he's a stealth hunter by hiding behind the curtain panel when there are a bunch of birds in the window. 😁

PRAYER LIST:

For an end to the conflicts all over the world and anyone living in war & fear. For peace and unity in this country, especially from hate and shootings or violence.  Prayers for the recent shooting in Iowa. For anyone sick, suffering, in pain, fear, loneliness etc ... that God bring them comfort and peace. For His Light and Love to cast out the darkness everywhere.  For Matt's Mom to be fully healed from her cancer, and that her treatments continue to go well. Extra love to her for her birthday today too! And for his Dad also dealing with some health issues right now 🙏

PRAYER, INSPIRATIONAL QUOTE OR DEVOTIONAL:

I wish you a lovely week ahead! I'm sharing this with Sandra of Diary of a SAHM for Happy Homemaker Monday.

Happy Homemaker Monday

Happy Monday Friends ☀️

How is it going in your world?

Sure been rainy around here. There was some flooding in our area too. We've sure gone from one extreme to the other with weather these past few months.

We had a lot of fun this past Friday. Matt got done with work early and we ran some errands after my hospice work time. Then we went and watched some college volleyball with the C's (they have season tickets) and then went out for dinner with them. We always have a blast when we hang out. :)

Saturday I went to church (Matt went to help his folks - more on that in a sec) and then I went to visit my Mom and step Dad and bring them a few things. Then my daughter and her friend and I caught up on some big brother and hung out.

Sunday I listened to my Pack on the radio (wasn't televised here that day) and holy moly... We were sucking it up and then came back in the 4th quarter to win!! It was pretty epic. All you need is Love baby. 💚

On an unfortunate note, Matt's dad had a fall last week and broke his elbow. He had to have surgery and pins put in. So Matt went up to the lake to see his folks and help with some things. I had things going on with Annie and helping my Mom, so I stayed here. Thankfully his Dad is okay now and recovering really well. 🙏

This is your Bubba love for the week. Lol He and Ruby are doing great together and it just feels like Bubba has always been here. That pic that just looks like a shot of our Fall bedspread - it has a suspicious lump...yep, you guessed it. That's Bubba under there! Lol
