Happy Homemaker Monday

Hello my Friends!

I was doing hospice work earlier today, so getting to this post a little late. I hope you're having a wonderful Monday and a great start to your week. Did you have a nice weekend?

We had a fun one here. The C's weeekends have still been crazy busy with their daughter's volleyball and now she started soccer too, so we didn't see them. We've been wanting to get together but I am going to do lunch with Mrs. C this week. ;)

Matt got us tickets to a theater performance of Into the Woods as one of his employees was in it. So we went to that this weekend. It was really cute and the company did a great job! Besides church and going out for brunch, we also walked 2 miles in the sunshine yesterday. Yay! Yes, the sun has been shining and temps are more mild and the snow piles are going down a bit. Fingers crossed this is true Spring showing up. We also had Ruby and Bubba spend more time together to get ready for living together in the future.

Now on to the week ahead...

TIPS OR SOMETHING TO SHARE:

FROM THE CAMERA:

Out at the theater

Guys that work for Matt had to take a car run up the north shore and went to a place known for their pies. Matt had them pick up stuff for him also, and he surprised Annie and I with a blueberry cream pie and butterfinger crunch pie - oh my...so good!!

Walking in the sunshine ☀️

Matt has a fully furnished lower level too, and we blocked that off so Ruby couldn't get to Bubba's cat litter. And we just let them hang out with no leash on Ruby this time. It went great! ;)

Some spring touches in the lower level of my home. 🌸

A little creative therapy time - playing around with watercolor pencils and finished more on my cross-stitch

PRAYER LIST:

For an end to the conflict in the Ukraine and other areas of the world living in war & fear. For peace and unity in this country, especially from hate and shootings or violence.  For anyone sick, suffering, in pain or fear... that God bring them comfort and peace. For His Light and Love to cast out the dark everywhere. For everyone affected by the storms in Mississippi. 🙏

PRAYER, INSPIRATIONAL QUOTE OR DEVOTIONAL:

Thank you so much for visiting and sharing with me here in blogland! I hope you have a blessed week ahead. I'm sharing this with Sandra of Diary of a SAHM for Happy Homemaker Monday.

  1. What a nice weekend! Just having the sun shine does wonders! It rained a lot here during the night, and then I got up and found more snow on the ground! :( But today the sun was shining so the snow melted again. :)
The flowers! Are those peonies? So pretty!
Matt was sweet to surprise you and Annie with pies.
Glad Bubba and Ruby are getting along.

Glad the animals are getting along well, everyone looks right at home :) And I'm so glad to hear you are seeing some sun and spring up that way. Have a wonderful week!

  4. Sounds like a cozy, fun weekend, Carrie. Cute photos of you both getting your steps in and the pets getting along. Love the photo of your dining table bathed in the sunshine. Such a happy room. The lower level looks so comfy and warm, too. Those pies are irresistible looking and such a nice and thoughtful treat. Your cross-stitch is so pretty and your artwork, too. It must be so relaxing, too, after your busy days. Glad you are getting some warm sunshine and hopefully the snow will be gone in a couple of weeks so you can start your fairy gardens again. xx Sending hugs xo K
