Happy Homemaker Monday

HAPPY HOMEMAKER MONDAY

Happy Monday Friends ☀️

I hope you had a lovely weekend, and that the week is already bringing you lots of sunshine. It was a wonderful weekend as I got lots of Annie time. There were a lot of severe weather alerts...so Matt and I had already decided not to worry about  traveling to each other. But even though the weather turned out to be okay - Annie and I had gotten our covid boosters, and I didn't feel too great at times over the weekend. So it ultimately turned out okay. And when I did feel better Annie wanted to go out to practice driving in her new car.  Matt and I did lots of phone/facetime, which helps, and I'm going down to see him on his day off this week. And he's coming up next weekend. Yay!

Matt actually lost his 105 year old Granny recently. 😢 She lived a wonderful and very full life...but no matter the age, it still hurts to lose the ones we love. So I'm looking forward to getting extra time with him this week.

And of course the world is heavy these days in general... and I keep doing lots of extra prayer time for peace to prevail. My heart hurts so much for all of the folks of Ukraine and those in Russia with no choice. I look at each day that I have it so darned good as an absolute gift. I want to never take that gift for granted. I try to live the best me I'm able in each day with the gifts God gave me to give as the best Mom, gf, daughter, sister, family member, friend, and hospice worker I can be.

So with that, on to the week ahead...

Happy Homemaker Monday

HAPPY HOMEMAKER MONDAY

Happy Monday Friends ☀️

I hope you had a lovely weekend. It was such a wonderful one here - but went way too fast!

It has felt so good to be back to real life. Out running errands, doing my work up at the hospice house again, and getting time with family, friends, & my Matt.

He came up this weekend for a visit. We had meals with Annie and played games with her too. Ran errands and cooked together. Went a hung out a bit with my Mom and step Dad. Hiked outside with Ruby. Played cribbage and just hung out. We have so much fun together no matter what we're doing. I feel so blessed!

I've started back to Weight Watchers recently and have started losing weight again. I have some fun trips planned this year and want to be in great shape for them. Especially a big one to Europe if it works out! I do indulge on the weekends a bit - but overall holding myself accountable again. It feels great! One thing I'm doing a bit different this time is keeping a journal besides counting my points on an app on my phone. And it's wonderful that Matt likes being active and follows his own healthy lifestyle. Fun fact not sure I shared - but he lost close to 80 pounds a year ago doing Keto and found the lifestyle that works for him to help maintain it. We talk all the time about the things we want to do and places we want to travel. It's a lot of fun to have a bestie lovebug that wants to walk the same path with you.

I know I have a recipes tab that I try to kind of keep up with. I need to put more order into it and will take the time to do that one day. But for now I will add a WW tab to add recipes to that separately for anyone interested. Matt has a lot of great keto recipes and if anyone is interested in that I bet I could get some from him to add on here too.

Okay, on to the week ahead...

TIPS OR SOMETHING TO SHARE:

First of all, I need to say I tried the cauliflower with BBQ sauce thing from last week and I actually liked it!

Here's a life hack info for today:

FROM THE CAMERA:

Already got some Valentine's goodies for my Guy and decorated a bag all up and found this cute card. 💝

So nice to be back to hockey Mom life and that's my girl at center taking the faceoff. She played a lot of varsity time this last game and it was so fun to watch!

Matt gave me this "hug" necklace and said he wanted me to feel hugged by him anytime I needed...even when he can't be around. Geesh this guy melts my ♥️

What my Mom texted after our visit hanging out with her & my step Dad

Matt did a ton of shoveling so we could get down the hill and stairs to go hike around on the bay.

ice fishing folks

My home on the hill. Fun to see it from down on the bay 🏡

Ruby had THE BEST time running around and then crashed hard when we got back. She's an old lady now like her mom. Lol

PRAYER LIST:

Prayers for gratitude and thankfulness for so many blessings. I pray for an end to the virus. For peace and unity everywhere. For health care workers, first responders and all those who work so hard to take care of others. I pray for anyone isolated, feeling alone, in pain or fear - that God comfort them and bring them healing and peace. For Matt's Uncle as he continues to heal. For his Mom that needs an upcoming surgery. For a bestie's recent loss of her brother in law to covid. 😢 🙏
