Wednesday Wonder: sneak peekπŸ‘°πŸΌπŸŒΌπŸ’›

The dress:

There was a hiccup with the dress I had initially shared a peek of on here. And it was far more gown than I wanted. This one is perfect and still vintage in feel.

The headpiece I'll wear:

My bouquet:

Annie has a small bouquet to match mine. She will be wearing a long navy sundress - it's so pretty.

The wedding gift Matt got me: these diamonds that match my ring and I'll be wearing them for our special day.
I had given him the classy tag heurer watch he'd been dreaming on. πŸ’•

Matt will be wearing something a lot like this: but his pants are dark navy and his shirt is light blue. He will do a gray vest.

This is the tie he will wear:

Aaron will be wearing a light blue shirt and navy pants. Both guys will wear a sunflower and navy boutonniere:

I got these flower decorations and tulle to decorate the arch we will be married under:

This is our card box. It's hand carved wood and has the C & M medallion also carved in wood

The champagne flutes and engraved cake cutter/server:

Real sunflower seeds to plant as favors. Also, my girlfriend that is the most amazing cookie maker is baking monogrammed cookies as favors too.

Our cake topper, as the Packers are what brought us together in the first place:

Instead of a guest book this will be on an easel with white sharpies for folks to sign. It's also hand carved wood:

This is a photo of our venue. If the weather is cooperative we will be married in that exact spot next to the trees along Lake Superior. It will be a small ceremony. Only 30 people there. And we have a strings duo (violin and viola) playing for the ceremony and cocktail hour (all outside - hopefully). And then the formal dinner in a dining hall. Then we'll all get in comfy clothes and play lawn games and sit by fire pits along the water. There will be s'more's kits. Hopefully it will be a lovely weather night under the stars hanging with our people. And we even ordered a late night french fry bar with multiple sauces. πŸ˜‹

Don't worry - we have a plan B if bad weather (they have a lodge there)

No matter the weather or anything else, we know it will be an amazing day with our core people, and blessed by God, and that we will carry the sweet memories of it all the rest of our lives. πŸ’

I promise in the future I will also share photos after the wedding and further details then. Thank you, dear Blogland Besties, for being with me along this whole journey. Supporting me and cheerleading me on. I treasure you all and the friends you have come to be in my life. If I could I would have you all be there that day too! So I hope in some way it helps you feel a part of things too.
xoxo

Happy Homemaker Monday

Hello and happy Monday Friends!

I had some appointments today, so getting to this a little late. But I'm going to still try to buzz through and share life here and look forward to visiting and catching up with you when I'm able. :)

It was another weekend up at the 10 mile lake cottage. We went to do more work and we've been bringing up some things to leave at the lake. It will be so nice because then I won't need to pack much at all whenever we want to head up (think our toiletries, brushes, curling iron, clothing, sandals, etc) I brought extras of many things so they're just up there now.

Friday was my daughter's big senior party. I'd been working on the committee for months and it was so nice to finally put it all in place. We did an olympics theme and it turned out really cute. They had a fun MC that played themed music, told jokes, directed the event etc. We had an international buffet for the kids including appetizers of chips & salsa, sushi, and stuffed grape leaves. And then a big Italian pasta buffet. Followed by a dessert table of French macarons and fruit with fruit dips and the fruit was in round pans the shapes of the olympic rings and those colors. I caught a few pics (see below) and I had headed the decorating committee. It was a lot of fun to do!

Up at 10 mile we got in some fishing and some rest and relax time too. Unfortunately, Matt's folks need to stay in AZ longer due to their tests and needing more procedures down there. :( They're really bummed by it, but we're just praying they get through everything well and can get up north when they're able.
Continued prayers for them welcome πŸ™πŸ»πŸ’•

TIPS OR SOMETHING TO SHARE:

FROM THE CAMERA:

Scenes from a senior party. I still can't believe she'll graduate soon!

Ten Mile Lake love....

Had to pick up a fishing license and some bait :)

Matt worked for over 5 hours doing yard work and then pressure washing the walk way (it gets mossy and slippery and needs it every couple of years)

I helped with some things...but I also got some relax time that Matt insisted I take and enjoy. Gotta love that man! We brought this quilt up to the lake that has gardening on one side and tractors on the other. Matt grew up in Moline, Illinois - headquarters of John Deere. He has a tractor that also cuts grass, snow blows etc - one of his favorite toys. Lol

put my feet up and enjoy my magazines? (don't mind if I do...)

The walkway looked so pretty when it was all done. I enjoyed the view of it from my comfy perch in the cottage. πŸ˜‰ Ruby kept me company:

We got cleaned up after working and my Honey took me out for an amazing dinner with a view 😍

An overcast day called for some good fishing - lots of little ones (sunnies & blue gill) but also a few small mouth bass

when the breeze would calm the bugs would come out though - tried to hide under my hood

wonderful weekend πŸ’—

Also, Annie caught this adorable pic of a baby bunny. So sweet!

PRAYER LIST:

For an end to the conflicts all over the world and anyone living in war & fear. For peace and unity in this country, especially from hate and shootings or violence.  For anyone sick, suffering, in pain, fear, loneliness etc ... that God bring them comfort and peace. For His Light and Love to cast out the darkness everywhere. For the upcoming graduation of so many kiddos. That they be blessed and their futures be so bright! For Matt's folks to get through their tests and procedures and be able to come up to the lake this summer. πŸ™πŸ»

PRAYER, INSPIRATIONAL QUOTE OR DEVOTIONAL:

Have a wonderful week! I'm sharing this with Sandra of Diary of a SAHM for Happy Homemaker Monday.
