Happy Homemaker Monday

Happy Tuesday Friends ~

I know I'm a day late, but life has been consumed with all things Tilly! Our new puppy has rocked our world in many ways. With love, cuteness, energy; but also with exhaustion, frustration and practicing patience. Lol I forgot how much work a new puppy can be. Especially when she's a bit strong-willed. We're already making progress. And my poor sweet Ruby is tolerating her really well. But yesterday was not only all consuming with Tilly - also having some work finished on the house and I took a neighbor friend to her MD appointment because she needed the help. Today I'm trying to squeak out a bit more time to get this out while Tilly naps, as my helper Annie is in online school all day. I hope you had a great weekend. Ours was spent getting Tilly set up with everything around here. And I did get to watch my Packers win. 😊  On to the rest of this week...

THE WEATHER OUTSIDE IS:

ON THE BREAKFAST PLATE THIS MORNING

cheesy toast, fruit, coffee

HOW I AM FEELING THIS MORNING:

I'm feeling grateful for the distraction of this crazy puppy. Focusing less on this crazy world. But I also feel exhausted. The kiddos have been helpful but I'm still the alpha momma to both dogs - trying to give Ruby all of my love too. And trying to keep the puppy from constantly pestering her. It's a juggling act.

ON MY MIND:

The upcoming thanksgiving holiday and trying to choose the safest course. I can't believe it's right around the corner already! Getting Tilly in for the rest of her shots. Holiday shopping and trying to enjoy all these parts of the season even amongst the crazy of life right now

AS I LOOK AROUND THE HOUSE

I see puppy toys EVERYWHERE. Enough said. 😋

Made a bag of food with a pasta bake meal (salad, gb, cookies) and pancake bites and syrup for my neighbor that is newly going through a divorce and just had surgery. We'd been walking together a lot lately and bonding over some similarities in our lives. 🙏 💕

I pray for an end to this virus. For peace, healing and unity in our world.  For the election ahead. For Annie's school and teams to be safe from more covid numbers. I pray for anyone sick, suffering, isolated, and afraid - for their peace and comfort. Please Lord give strength to those fighting the virus on the frontlines.  🙏

Happy Homemaker Monday

Happy Monday Friends ~

I hope your week is off to a great start! I won't get into the politics thing as that's not what I like to share here...but I will say I'm grateful it's over and I don't need to listen to all the campaigning anymore! Lol And that I hope we can all move forward, come together and work to heal our nation. I would also like to report Annie and I were both covid free after our exposure a few weeks back. Thank goodness! But the biggest news of all is we're getting an addition to the family! We're picking up a new baby this week!!! A sheepadoodle puppy baby! And we're so excited!! 🐶 💕 Except maybe Ruby who has no idea what's about to hit. Lol 🙈 See pics below for a peek at her and the name already picked out by Ms Annie.

The weekend here was a pretty mellow one overall otherwise. Since we knew we were covid free my Mom came and had dinner and hung out. We talked all things new puppy. And I helped with more of her laundry too. The kiddos and I had some fun hanging out enjoying shows we like together and talking about the election as it played out.

It's a gray rainy day today, which makes me feel cozy and not ambitious but going to jump into the week ahead.

THE WEATHER OUTSIDE IS:

ON THE BREAKFAST PLATE THIS MORNING

fried egg on toast with butter & jam, coffee

HOW I AM FEELING THIS MORNING:

I'm feeling snuggly and lazy today and the rainy day doesn't help! Lol Been accomplishing some things around here nonetheless though

ON MY MIND:

Of course all things puppy!! And worrying about how long it will take until Ruby realizes she isn't leaving and will be living here. And I hope will see her as her buddy. All the equipment we still need to get for a puppy too. What did I do??? Lol I blame covid for giving me too much time to be at home. 😉

AS I LOOK AROUND THE HOUSE

It's dark. Some candles going and it feels cozy. I might need to bake something. 😋

TO RELAX THIS WEEK I WILL:

read under a snuggly blanket, binge some shows, have mom for dinner & to play cards, work on holiday gift planning and Thanksgiving meal plans

FROM THE CAMERA:

This is the new baby we're picking up soon! Meet Tilly! Annie has always loved the name Matilda but we'll call her Tilly. We thought it was cute to go with Ruby too ❤️ Aaron deferred to us for the name. Lol
She'll be a lot bigger than Ruby, though, when she's full grown. Ruby is 30 lbs (she's a mini golden doodle). But Tilly is a standard sized sheepadoodle (english sheep dog + poodle) and will get to be probably double that or more!

The weather has been unseasonably warm, but the cold is on its way back. Walks have been more stark with all the leaves gone...but still so beautiful in its own way.

Ruby and I have been doing lots of snuggling and bingeing the GBB show right now. Look at that face. She's still my baby too and I keep apologizing for how her world is about to be turned upside down. But in the long run I think she'll be very happy to have a buddy. And when the world is normal again I plan to go back to school and be a much busier bee, so I think it'll be nice for her not to be here alone then.

Still loving all things Fall around here 🍁 🍂  I just got this new thanksgiving tablecloth and napkins (FYI Pier 1 has been having some great sales!) And put on my fall leaves bedspread. I'm listening to Christmas music and shopping for it, but that's about it for now. I'll wait to decorate for that until after Thanksgiving.
