Happy Homemaker Monday

Hello Dear Friends ~

Night time edition. Sorry I'm late yet another week with HHM. If I told you I missed last week because it was my birthday last Monday (15th) and I had fun things that went on ALL week; would you forgive me? It was such a great week and then got topped off with going to the Ed Sheeran concert in Minneapolis with Annie and my girlfriend and her daughter. We spent the whole weekend in the Twin Cities. We had the BEST time! Many of you already know how much I adore Mr. Sheeran - and the love has rubbed off on Annie now too. Lol I was blessed to see him last year in Chicago. And he was just as wonderful this time if not better!!

We didn't get home until last night and I've been playing catch up with my life today.  Then busy feeding my family dinner etc. Now I'm finally taking a little time for me to catch up with you. ;) I will be popping around this week to catch up with each of you too, as I missed you last week. xo

THE WEATHER OUTSIDE IS:

Today it was sunny and in the 50's and pretty nice other than a bit of a chilly wind. Looks like it will pretty chilly most of the week though - only in the 40's and cold rain the end of the week.

ON THE BREAKFAST PLATE THIS MORNING

I guess I'll share what I had for dinner instead which was leftover chili with cheese, sour cream and fritos on top, part of a cornbread muffin with honey butter and some grapes :P

RIGHT NOW I AM:

Listening to whatever tv my family is watching in the background

AS I LOOK OUTSIDE MY WINDOW

It's dark out now but there is the most amazing full moon tonight with a few wispy clouds in front. So many of our trees have lost leaves already so there are bare branches framing it - very Halloween looking....spooky Hold on I'll take a pic and share.

AS I LOOK AROUND THE HOUSE

It looks cozy with lamps shining and my crew snuggled under blankets. Dishes waiting to be loaded from dinner - but still just part of the cozy with a candle glowing on the counter too

ON THIS WEEK'S TO DO LIST:

I have an appointment this week, need to pick up Ruby's allergy pills, groceries, bring FIL dinner, meeting a friend to get some things I ordered but to catch up too, taking my Mom out for lunch for her bday, my hospice volunteer, wallyball with the girls this week, some other errands

CURRENTLY READING

Fall magazines right now

ON THE TV TODAY:

Dancing with the Stars, the Good Doctor, The Resident,  Greys Anatomy, Survivor, the finish of Big Brother, hubby got me into watching Forged in Fire with him, The Voice, New Amsterdam

ON THE MENU THIS WEEK:

MONDAY:  leftovers

TUESDAY: broccoli cheddar soup & salad bar night with homemade croutons

WEDNESDAY: religious ed - easy night (maybe frozen pizza?)

THURSDAY: salisbury steak, garlic mashed potatoes, mixed vegetables

FRIDAY: homemade chicken pot pie

WHAT I AM CREATING AT THE MOMENT

scrapbook catch up and few other projects

NEW RECIPE I WANT TO TRY THIS WEEK:

might do mashed potatoes in the slow cooker this week to do the differently

TIP OF THE WEEK:

I have no idea if this is true???

FROM THE CAMERA:

This is how it was looking around here just last week. And this is how it's looking now...

Pretty bare with most of the leaves going fast now :(

Getting all ready to head out and see one of our favorite gingers :)
(and please note my daughter is almost my height already - AACCKK!)

We got there early to watch the set up and buy some "merch"

they had awesome huge screens (SWOON)

The new US Bank stadium in minneapolis holds over 66,000 people and it was a full house! I took this pic on panorama mode after he asked us all to turn on our lights on our phones

At the end of the show he did his last few songs in a Minnesota Vikings jersey - pretty cute

I'll try to upload some video of him:

  1. LOL You are SOOOOOO forgiven! Glad you enjoyed your birthday week! I ABSOLUTELY adored your inspirational quote this week!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Wonderful pictures too - I ESPECIALLY like the moon shot. I have used your life hack trick and it works well - just as good is A1 sauce especially if your need to soak it. Try it with an ugly penny and you'll never eat it again when you realize what it does to your gut :D Have a WONDERFUL week my friend!

  2. Happy Belated Birthday! Sounds like a wonderful week and another amazing concert for you. Your photos are so pretty. Can't believe how fast the leaves are falling off the trees. Great quote. Hope you have a great week!

  3. I was so surprised to see you standing by Annie and she's almost as tall as you. You look like sisters.

I'm so happy you got to go for a weekend with Just Girls. I had so many little brothers, I really missed out on Mom and Me time. Annie will treasure these memories and so will you.

Sorry, I'm too old for what's his name. I still like Barry Manilow, Paul Anka, Johnny Mathis, etc. Do you even know who they are? I'm even too old for The Beatles.

Wish I could send you some sunshine. 60's today. Love to My Girls, AP

  4. Of course we'll forgive you! Happy Birthday, and lucky you to go to that concert.
You are really losing the leaves! Ours are still more green than colored, but I bet a week will change that.
