Happy Homemaker Monday

Hello my Friends...

HAPPY SPRING! It actually feels more like it around here. The bay is almost fully open and things are starting to sprout outside and our temps this week actually look lovely!! Yay!

And happy new week to you too! I hope your Monday is being kind and that you're starting out the week in the best way. ☀️

It has been nice being settled back at home. Back to normal routine and back to hospice work again.

And to have this Cutie back home from Hawaii. It was only about 3 weeks where we were both gone, but we missed each other so much. I know - it's sort of sickening because we're in that new love phase. Lol But it has been such a journey just to get to a place of having a truly open and trusting heart again. And then meeting Matt, sharing 6 months of dating (can you believe it's been that long already?).... and now saying out loud that I've found my person. The one I can really see as a forever partner. It's just such a big moment in my life and I'm so grateful to God for bringing him into my life! Matt is working on some things that will probably make it possible for him to move up here in the Fall. ♥️

He was visiting this weekend and brought back the sweetest gifts from Hawaii for all of us (Annie & Ruby too). And we had goodies from AZ for him too. We mainly hung out, played games, went out to dinner and did a Costco run. Annie and her friend even wanted to tag along for running errands with us and hanging out a bit.

Life is good 😊

THE WEATHER OUTSIDE IS:

ON THE BREAKFAST PLATE THIS MORNING:

Yogurt, cantaloupe, coffee

ON MY TO DO LIST:

errands, projects, hospice work, chiropractor appts, more Europe trip planning with my cousin

AS I LOOK AROUND THE HOUSE

More laundry and a few dishes to do, but tidy and bright as the sun peeks out from the clouds on & off and sends beams through the windows. I still see lots of bunny things and  I need to take down the Easter decorations this week and put up some more neutral Spring and even summer ahead things.

CURRENTLY READING

Nightshade for Warning by Bailey Cattrell (2nd in a series of hers I'm enjoying)

ON THE TV TODAY:

The Good Doctor, Spring Baking Championship, Greys Anatomy, This is Us, The Rookie, Outlander, WCTH,  Survivor, Ghosts, The Masked Singer, Shark Tank and I've been watching Emily in Paris on Netflix and love it!

ON THE MENU THIS WEEK:

MONDAY - cauliflower crust pizza, fruit

TUESDAY - mango jalapeno chicken meatballs, salad

WEDNESDAY -  air fryer french toast sticks, bacon, fruit

THURSDAY - bao buns (steamed bbq pork buns)
                                    dill pickle chopped salad  kit

FRIDAY - might be out for dinner?

*for Mother's Day this weekend I think I'll be hosting brunch here (have my Mom and step Dad here). Matt will probably be here too, as his folks don't move back from AZ for a few weeks yet.  I'll either make a quiche or an egg bake, cinnamon bread, maybe even a green salad (for my keto guy) and a fresh fruit salad. 😋

TO RELAX THIS WEEK I WILL:

do some yard work, walk Ruby, read

TIPS OR SOMETHING TO SHARE:

Another slow cooker tip is that you can use heavy duty aluminum foil and crockpot liners to make 2 separate "wells" in your slow cooker for 2 different dishes or 2 kinds of dips etc

FROM THE CAMERA:

I got my hair done for summer ahead and she made it a bit lighter and more platinum blonde. And as you can see I'm choosing wardrobe that makes me think officially Spring!! 🦋

Back to working extra hospice days to catch up on more obituary scrapbooking for the hospice house ✂️ 🙏

Green growing things makes my heart happy! 🌱

Now that I think we're finally in the clear from needing snow plowing 😂 I paid the wonderful fellow (a bestie's son) that had done it for me this winter. And I also gave him a great tip and a bag of snacks, including 2 gallon sized baggies full of homemade chocolate chip cookies. He was a happy camper!

I made a collage, to put on the night stand, of pics of Matt & I 😍

cozy home vibes

Matt made us the yummiest brunch this weekend. An egg scramble full of veggies and aromatics, polish sausage with monterey jack cheese & jalapeno that he had fried up, also adding salsa verde and cheese. It was FABULOUS!!

A mostly open bay now makes me do a dance of joy! 💃

PRAYER LIST:

Prayers of gratitude and thankfulness for so many blessings. For special health intentions. For Ukraine, Russia, and the surrounding countries taking refugees. For the Lord's light, love, and peace to spread in our world and cast out the dark and bring peace.

PRAYER, INSPIRATIONAL QUOTE OR DEVOTIONAL:

I send prayers of light, love, and many blessings to all you Momma's out there celebrating Mother's Day this weekend. And also my heart and prayers go out to any Momma's grieving or having hearts in any way.

Have a wonderful week ahead Friends. I'm linking with Sandra of Diary of a SAHM for Happy Homemaker Monday.
