Happy Homemaker Monday (on a Tuesday)

Hello my Lovelies!

I'm getting to the HHM post late this week due to the holiday weekend. To those in the states that celebrated Memorial Weekend - I hope you had a nice long relaxing one. May God bless all of our service men and women and their families for all the freedoms they help provide our country. 🇺🇸

We spent part of the weekend here with all the kiddos (Aaron and Jill were up). And then we spent part of it at the lake with Matt's folks. We went out for pizza with the kids one night and played cards/games over the time hanging with them - as well as great visiting.

And at the lake we went out on a pontoon ride, helped Matt's Mom get all of her flowers, played cards, watched movies and just relaxed. Matt and his Dad got their fishing licenses but Matt's Dad didn't feel good the morning they were going to go out - so they didn't fish. But Matt brought the bait home and plans to fish off our dock a bit this week. :)

On big bummer note - my Mom had a fall over the weekend. She fractured a vertebrae in her back and tore some ligaments. She is okay...thank the Lord! But she will be in a heavy duty brace for 3 months. Not fun. We are getting her and my step Dad set up with meals on wheels, and we got her a commode in case it's needed. I'm also getting her a walker. I will be checking in regularly, running errands for them as needed, and stocking their freezer with more meals. Scary stuff and I pray in such gratitude she is ultimately okay.

PRAYER LIST:

For an end to the conflicts all over the world and anyone living in war & fear, especially everything going on in the middle east right now. For peace and unity in this country, especially from hate and shootings or violence.  For anyone sick, suffering, in pain, fear, loneliness etc ... that God bring them comfort and peace. For healing healing for my Mom and for a relative's family member that had heart surgery.

For the Lord's love and peace to fill 2026. ❤️

For Christ's Light and Love to cast out the darkness everywhere and help the world find its way to loving our neighbors as ourselves. 🙏🏻

PRAYER, INSPIRATIONAL QUOTE OR DEVOTIONAL:

I hope you have a very blessed rest of the week my Friends ☀️💛

I'm sharing this with Sandra of Diary of a SAHM for Happy Homemaker Monday.

  6. Oh Carrie, so sorry to read about your mother's Fall. That fracture sounds serious and a three months recovery is a big thing. You have done so well already, organising the Meals on Wheels, and the equipment. Falls are a big fear for those of us growing older, and I do hope all goes well, and she is healing nicely. The lake pictures are so pretty, the house is really cute with the pots of flowers about. Gorgeous photo of you and Matt in the sunset. I will say a prayer for your Mom. Blessings xxxx

  9. I am so sorry to hear about your mom. My mom actually had a similar fall. It's actually the reason I do carpet cleaning today funny enough. I will keep your mom in my prayers.
