Hello Friends!
Happy HHM on a Tuesday! Lol I started a post yesterday, but my allergies took over and gave me the dizzies. So I'm starting over today and decided to share late.
I hope you all had a wonderful weekend! It was a nice one here. Easter was still very nice. I did mass online with my church. I even dressed up a bit. I still set the table and made a nice ham dinner. I did a scavenger hunt for the kiddos' goodies. And later my ex Adam and his Dad came for dinner. The kids are around Adam. And Ad has to set up meds for and be around his Dad daily. So by connection we're all exposed to each other - so figured that one dinner was okay. Everyone has been feeling fine as well, thankfully! 🙏 I'll share some pics below.
I was able to talk to my Friend a bit for his birthday which was great. And the kiddos and I got my Mom on facetime and played a trivia game with her. Annie and I beat my Mom and Aaron! Lol 😂 Also, Spring has been showing up more and more in the northwoods. Yay!! I'll share that below as well. I hope your week has started out great and continues to be a good one ahead. ❤️
THE WEATHER OUTSIDE IS:
ON THE BREAKFAST PLATE THIS MORNING
I made a yummy chocolate almond coconut overnight oats, coffee
HOW I AM FEELING THIS MORNING:
I'm feeling much better than I did yesterday! My Mom, Aaron and I all have awful seasonal allergies. Mine affect my ears a lot...make them feel itchy and full and that's what can throw off my equilibrium and give me the dizzies. I take a daily allergy med, but on the bad days I also take sudafed. And once I get the dizzies all that helps is dramamine and rest until it passes.
ON MY MIND:
I feel I always have a million things, and worries, on my mind each day. But I really try to stay focused in the present. Just focus on one day and getting through one week at a time and it helps. I do my daily prayer/devotional/journaling time and that helps through all the craziness I'm feeling now too. 🙏
AS I LOOK AROUND THE HOUSE
I still have the tablecloth on from Easter. I need to take it off and throw in the laundry. Everything is pretty clean and tidy right now. I have some dishes in the kitchen because I was working on some homemade bread earlier.
CHORE I'M NOT LOOKING FORWARD TO THIS WEEK:
CURRENTLY READING
ON THE TV TODAY:

ON THE MENU THIS WEEK:
There isn't really a purpose for this right now as I'm not planning meals like I used to. I don't want to waste any food and since I don't feel good bringing things to my vulnerable Mom and my FIL - just in case - there are far less items I can make because kids are so fussy. Plus, now we're even more subject to waiting to see what we're in the mood for day by day based on what I have stocked up. We basically rotate each day some kind of pasta, or breakfast food, or soup/sandwich. The main things both kids will eat. (going to leave this here as standard response for now - but will include a recipe or update each post)
I made this strawberry (can do raspberry too) jello pretzel salad. I remember my Gram always made this. It was one of the dishes to go along with Easter dinner. It's always so yummy and pretty easy. Here's the recipe:
TO RELAX THIS WEEK I WILL:
Do some baking, take Ruby for walks, get into a good movie
FROM THE CAMERA:
I love seeing all the lilies shooting up in my backyard too. True signs of spring!
I doubt you'll recognize the person in these next few pics. Yikes! Lol They're doing a challenge to support the class of 2020 on FB. Because of the coronavirus the graduates are getting robbed of so many things. So in a show of support they're challenging folks to show their grad pics, no matter when you graduated. I did some digging and found some of mine and
Ad's (which I knew he wouldn't care if I shared).
PRAYER LIST:
All of the responders, grocery store workers, caregivers, all those sick and suffering through this, and those who have lost loved ones. I pray psalm 91 over all every day. Prayers for all of us my Friends. We are all in this together. 🙏 💜
I'm also praying extra rosary time for a cure, quicker vaccine, and better treatments.
Still getting out for walks and checking on the progress of the bay opening. Spot the duck swimming above 🦆 😉

I even finally put up my flower wreath on our front door! 🌸
The final clue of the kids' scavenger hunt led them to the oven. Lol!
Fruit pizza cookies are an Easter tradition. Yummy!
Happy Easter! (proof I actually dressed up and put on makeup) 🐰
The real bunny showed up on our hill though ♥️

The awful poses they made you do then...
And Aaacck!! That hair! Class of 1990 which seems forever ago.
And the high school ginger I fell for all those years ago. I'll never regret our years together and I have the best memories. ♥️
And I love this one with all of my besties! Oh it was obviously all about the hair in those days. Lol Can you spot me?
