Happy Homemaker Monday

Happy Tuesday Friends ~

I know I'm a day late, but life has been consumed with all things Tilly! Our new puppy has rocked our world in many ways. With love, cuteness, energy; but also with exhaustion, frustration and practicing patience. Lol I forgot how much work a new puppy can be. Especially when she's a bit strong-willed. We're already making progress. And my poor sweet Ruby is tolerating her really well. But yesterday was not only all consuming with Tilly - also having some work finished on the house and I took a neighbor friend to her MD appointment because she needed the help. Today I'm trying to squeak out a bit more time to get this out while Tilly naps, as my helper Annie is in online school all day. I hope you had a great weekend. Ours was spent getting Tilly set up with everything around here. And I did get to watch my Packers win. 😊  On to the rest of this week...

THE WEATHER OUTSIDE IS:

ON THE BREAKFAST PLATE THIS MORNING

cheesy toast, fruit, coffee

HOW I AM FEELING THIS MORNING:

I'm feeling grateful for the distraction of this crazy puppy. Focusing less on this crazy world. But I also feel exhausted. The kiddos have been helpful but I'm still the alpha momma to both dogs - trying to give Ruby all of my love too. And trying to keep the puppy from constantly pestering her. It's a juggling act.

ON MY MIND:

The upcoming thanksgiving holiday and trying to choose the safest course. I can't believe it's right around the corner already! Getting Tilly in for the rest of her shots. Holiday shopping and trying to enjoy all these parts of the season even amongst the crazy of life right now

AS I LOOK AROUND THE HOUSE

I see puppy toys EVERYWHERE. Enough said. 😋

Tilly figuring out Ruby, our home, the snow - lots to learn when you're a puppy 🐾 💗

some of the late fall sunsets on the bay have been spectacular

Made a bag of food with a pasta bake meal (salad, gb, cookies) and pancake bites and syrup for my neighbor that is newly going through a divorce and just had surgery. We'd been walking together a lot lately and bonding over some similarities in our lives. 🙏 💕

PRAYER LIST:

I pray for an end to this virus. For peace, healing and unity in our world.  For the election ahead. For Annie's school and teams to be safe from more covid numbers. I pray for anyone sick, suffering, isolated, and afraid - for their peace and comfort. Please Lord give strength to those fighting the virus on the frontlines.  🙏

  1. So it's true. If you're cute, you can get away with anything. Just ask Tilly. Wish I could send you some warm weather. Another nice week here in the Ozarks. I worked in the garage this morning in a short-sleeved tee shirt. Sending love and wishes for some peace and quiet,AP

  2. Oh my goodness - what a little cutie-pie Tilly is! My daughter has a labradoodle and with the doodle part, they are very smart dogs! Raising a puppy is not easy....So nice of you to help out your neighbor and I'm sure she really appreciates it so much. The holidays are going to be so strange this year. We are in lockdown here in WA state again and the stores are already out of tp - geez....I'm hoping there are turkeys left. It's going to be just me and the Mr. - big family gatherings are a no-no this year, but willing to make whatever sacrifice there is to get us all through this unsettling time. Glad your close call didn't get you sick! Hope you have a wonderful holiday despite it all. All I need is stuffing.....I could eat that all day. Haha! Sending hugs xx K

  3. Tilly is so cute! Good thing you mentioned how much work puppies are or I'd be tempted to follow your lead and go looking for one. So kind of you to help out your friend and neighbor, she's lucky to have you. Hard to know with the holidays. Somehow, we've ended up hosting Thanksgiving here (just my husband's sister and husband plus my nephew, we've already been around them. Maybe his brother and wife as well, not sure on that one. Keeps us just under our 10 person limit) Hope you have a great rest of your week!

  5. Oh my sweet lady, a puppy is so much work, but that face! Oh that face must make it all worth it!

Our state has issued very strict guidelines about the holidays and has even become the brunt of a few memes, but I pray everyone REALLY thinks about the need to be serious about this virus - scary stuff! I have sent out more Thanksgiving cards to people we would normally see, but won't this year and will be staying close to home and making a smaller amount of food for just us. Perfect inspiration this week to go along with this challenge.

You're so sweet to help out your neighbor - they are 1 lucky neighbor to have you!

I hope you have a WONDERFUL rest of the week!
