Happy Homemaker Monday

HAPPY HOMEMAKER MONDAY

Hello and Happy Monday!

I'm getting to this a little late and will probably be pretty brief. But still wanted to check in with you all. I hope you had a nice weekend and that this week is starting out beautifully so far. It's almost March...Yay! Spring is closer with every step 🌸

It was a fun weekend here. Matt came up for the weekend again. I had a meal all ready when he got here and I made pork chops in the air fryer and they turned out AMAZING! If you have one, have you made any raw meat in it? I have a ninja air fryer and they cooked perfectly in only 10 minutes! And they were juicy and not dry at all. I also made the yummiest asparagus dish and I'll share both recipes in a different post this week. Added a salad and it was such a yummy meal.

We played games with Annie and a friend she had over. And then even when her friend left we played more games with Annie and visited a lot. I love that she is so comfortable with Matt too and seems to like him a lot. Makes my Momma heart feel so full. I have been doing church online but will probably go back again soon. And Matt said he'd love to go with me - so I look forward to spending some Sunday mornings that way. This past Sunday we enjoyed brunch, ran an errand, played some cards together and just enjoyed hanging out doing nothing but being together ❤️

TIPS OR SOMETHING TO SHARE:

FROM THE CAMERA:

Somebody got her overdue haircut the other day and she's good for a quick photo op and then she says "ok Mom now get these bows off of me"

This is the asparagus dish I made - how can you go wrong with a homemade cheese sauce, more shredded cheese and bacon on top? It was Matt's keto dream dish. 😋 I'll share recipe later in the week.

The next morning Matt took some leftover pork chop, asparagus, a bunch of other veggies, eggs and different seasonings and made the best breakfast scramble! SO GOOD!!

He now officially has some drawer and closet space here and I was laughing over the size of our shoes. He sometimes wears a 13 and I wear a 6.5-7. Just a little difference. 😃 But I guess that seems right for 6'2" vs 5'3"

Still dreaming and thought you might like this little lily flashback. 💕

PRAYER LIST:

Prayers for gratitude and thankfulness for so many blessings. I pray for an end to the virus.  For health care workers, first responders and all those who work so hard to take care of others. For Ukraine and peace in our world. 🙏

PRAYER, INSPIRATIONAL QUOTE OR DEVOTIONAL:

I hope you have a wonderful week ahead. I'm linking with Sandra of Diary of a SAHM for Happy Homemaker Monday.

  1. Too funny about the shoes :) Ruby looks so sweet in her bows, and I laughed when you said she barks to see if any of the neighborhood dogs will chat back. The cheesy asparagus and breakfast scramble do look yummy! The beautiful lilies are making me impatient for spring - daylight savings time only 2 weeks away. Love that last quote! I think it worked for you and so glad. Sending hugs xo K

  2. It's so good that Matt and Annie get along so well!
I don't like asparagus, but that really looks good!
I just started watching Mrs Maisel and am liking it.
Can't wait to see flowers blooming again.

  5. I LOVE that you are having such a good time getting to know Matt and that he is also so good with Annie - a VERY important and necessary part of that relationship. The shoe picture is really cute. The asparagus looks amazing both ways. I'll look for your recipes. I have a 7 in 1 NINJA, but have only used the air fryer for chicken wings so far.

Ruby's hair cut is so cute and your dreaming of spring pictures are so pretty! I bought a few bulbs (Clematis and Dahlias) today to plant at the end of the month for some pretty summer flowers.

Have a wonderful week my friend!!!!
