Happy Homemaker Monday

Happy Monday dear and beautiful Friends!

I've given up thinking I'll get this post done in the AM during the summer. Lol! Annie and I decided to go golfing before it got too warm or busy today so we were gone all morning. And then we went to lunch. Ran errands and got home and needed to accomplish some things. Also, a relative needed to leave a car here so was visiting a bit etc. I'm finally here to check in and see if you had a lovely 4th last week (U.S. friends) and a nice past weekend? It was a great one here on both counts. Our dear friends came and spent the July 4th holiday with us (they're like family). And even though there were some raindrops we packed in a parade, a BBQ at our house, a pontoon ride, some pickle ball, games and fireworks! See pics and video below. No on to this week ahead...

It's sunny and bright coming in my window. Things are pretty tidy and I'm looking out my deck thinking I'm going to need some time out there tonight. Maybe even sit by a fire for sunset time with a glass of wine. Just a perfect summer day! ☀️

Some Fun July 4th Ideas

Hi Friends!

Since it's almost the 4th already I thought it might be fun to share a few ideas I have pinned on pinterest. Some are good specifically for the 4th and some could be fun all summer long. πŸ˜‰

4th of July decor | party | Independence Day | red, white & blue food

First up this fun really easy way to make a flag looking dessert. You can find the pin here.

Cheese and Fruit Flag

Here's another version but with cheese which I think is kind of cool and different. Find the pin here.

Throw together this delicious trifle recipe! Tastes like a light cheesecake. Top with festive 4th of July colored fruit or whatever you have on hand and serve for an easy dessert at your next BBQ or party. #landeelu #triflerecipe #cheesecaketrifle #dessert #summerfood #4thofjuly

And one more red, white and blue theme dessert in this trifle. Looks SO yummy! Find the pin here.

Fresh and crunchy, Parmesan Chive Corn on the Cob is the classic side dish recipe - hot and buttery for your next BBQ - Grilled or baked, it is perfect served with ribs and chicken.

I think this corn on the cob looks so good too and is always perfect for any BBQ. Find the pin here.

Campfire S'mores Nachos - Do you love s'mores? Make S'mores Nachos on the grill or over the campfire. This s'more casserole is the perfecting camping dessert recipe!

And what about this fun different way to enjoy s'mores over the campfire? Yum!! πŸ˜‹  Find the pin here.

And any variety of different things to skewer are always fun. This pin will lead you to many other varieties of ways and combinations for skewering for all occasions. Find the pin here.

Watermelon pizza is a fun and healthy snack that everyone will love. Refreshing, delicious, and only takes 10 minutes to make!

And remember this big trend for watermelon pizza? Still looks so good though, doesn't it? Find the pin here.

1957 ... The family that played together, stayed together!

However you decide to celebrate and whichever menu you choose - have a very blessed and very fun July 4th U.S. Friends! πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ

Happy Homemaker Monday

Hello Friends!

Happy Monday! True to form I found it a day I wasn't home. But I earned the fun day out after all the hard work that was done this past weekend. Aaron didn't really want a grad party - but we had a gathering over here yesterday with some family and close family friends and some of his friends. So Saturday was spent cleaning and prepping food etc. We even got the pontoon in this past weekend too! Yay! So FYI this will be a photo heavy post. πŸ˜‰ But Annie and I ran around today and went to the movie Yesterday (because duh Ed Sheeran is in it!) and that's why I wasn't able to do this post earlier. The movie was really good, even besides the Ed part...although he did a great job too. Lol It's a very fun summer movie and if you like the Beatles music you'll love it.

Please know how much I appreciate your visits each week!! I hope you had a wonderful weekend and are ready for a great week ahead...

Boys hard at work getting the place cleaned up

Had fun decorating and used a guitar case to hold fun pics and for people to put their cards since my Aaron is going to college for a music production based career

I even strung some battery lights in it which turned out to be good because it was a bit rainy and overcast a lot of yesterday during his party

found lots of other fun spots to put photos

The day of the party I did take some ideas from pinterest and wrapped silverware in napkins diploma style πŸ˜‰

sandwich fixings, fruit, pasta salad

slow cooker shredded BBQ chicken (thanks for the best recipe Billie Jo - I use it all the time!) 😊

strawberry lemonade, sodas, iced tea, and a lemon water station

variety of chips, bowls of pickles, and veggie tray

bakery cupcakes and a "1 smart cookie" dessert area (thanks again pinterest) Lol

Aaron's girlfriend and one of his best buds came early and helped us set up ❤️
