Happy Homemaker Monday

Happy Monday Friends

I was busy this AM running Annie to get a tooth filled and brought her up to school. Ran some errands and accomplished some tasks around home. It's been a rain/snow mix on and off today. I'm always so much more awake on a sunny day so I'm trying to keep myself motivated on a gray non-motivating day ;)

I hope you had a lovely weekend.  Our boy had his last prom over the weekend here. I still can't believe he'll be graduating in only a few months! Annie had a volleyball tourney and she got her new set of golf clubs. She was so excited! Now she doesn't need to use mine but I'm jealous of her new set. Lol  It's so nice and shiny and new. She spent some of the weekend practicing away on a golf mat out on the driveway.

THE WEATHER OUTSIDE IS:

ON THE BREAKFAST PLATE THIS MORNING

Annie and I grabbed a fun fast food breakfast (per her request) after her dentist appointment before bringing her up to school. I had a bacon, egg and cheese breakfast sandwich and vanilla iced coffee

RIGHT NOW I AM:

working on my planner for the week, Ruby is snuggling on my feet

AS I LOOK OUTSIDE MY WINDOW

Looking at the gray and wet out the window- but the grass is starting to get so green, which is so nice to see ;)

AS I LOOK AROUND THE HOUSE

It's pretty tidy and cozy. I have a nice mug of tea steaming next to me and I can hear the wind chimes outside making pretty music out in the breeze. The dryer is tumbling and I just like to enjoy the "quiet" of the house like this sometimes

ON THIS WEEK'S TO DO LIST:

Still spring cleaning house projects to accomplish. Help my Mom with some things at her place. Groceries, errands, and bring FIL meal. Annie has hockey and golf practices.  My hospice volunteer time

NEW RECIPE I WANT TO TRY THIS WEEK:

the blue apron meals are always new recipes and fun to make ;) If you're ever interested in any I list - just let me know and I can post the recipe

TIP OF THE WEEK:

try a pants hanger

I think this is kind of funny and kind of brilliant. Lol Of course would only work for thinner cookbook

FROM THE CAMERA
We had an unfortunate mishap the end of last week. I had the umbrella up on the patio set and I hadn't closed it yet. And in the evening it had gotten a bit windier and a gust picked it up and it flew into one of our windows. Fortunately, it only cracked the outer pane of glass

Last prom for my sweet boy and his girlfriend of 2 &1/2 years

And my sweet girl working on her golf game every day ;)

I brought some dinner and snickerdoodle cookies I had made to my Mom over the weekend. On the drive home the sunset made the sky so pretty

  3. What a handsome Aaron and what a good-looking group. Amazing how they're babes in arms one day, and all grown up the next.

Sounds as if you're still living up to your name and Carrie-ing on. Be sure to take some time for you.

Wish I could send you some sun and warm weather, but I'd have to time it just right, as it is intermittent rain and sun. Makes things a bit humid.

Hope you get some time to golf with Annie - Tigress Northwoods we'll call her when she turns pro.

Love to all my sweet girls in the FINALLY melting and warming up north, AP

  7. Sounds like you had a busy Monday, Carrie! I've been keeping an eye on the weather at Ely and it looks like they've had a lot of snow this week. I'm trying to get some spring sent up you all's way, but it sure seems like it's slow in going! LOL!

It's sad to say, but the McD's bacon, egg, and cheese biscuit is my favorite breakfast item on those rare times that we actually get fast food breakfast out. They're so yummy!

Congrats to you son on his upcoming graduation! Love the prom pics! Love ALL your pics! They make me "homesick" for that second home that has truly never been my own. :/

Blessings for a great rest of the week and weekend! (((HUGS)))! <3

  8. Love the prom photos, Carrie - such a sweet, innocent time of life. So fun for Annie to get new clubs. I never learned to play golf, but the hubs plays, mostly for business functions. So nice of you to go and help out your Mom and volunteer at the hospice. I hope you get that warmer weather promised on the forecast. Too bad about your window - geez. Glad it didn't go all the way through! Hope you have a nice weekend and get some time to relax. Hugs xo Karen

  9. SO sorry to be running so late this week! And SO SO sorry to hear about the umbrella mishap - what a pain! Glad no one got hurt though!

Your pictures are wonderful - last prom, but a bridge to adulthood and Annie practicing her golf game is so cute. And the sunset picture makes me homesick for the area! Miss all the trees and water of the U.P.

That inspiration is really good advice. I hope you had a WONDERFUL week and are having a FANTASTIC weekend.
