Happy Homemaker Monday

Happy new week Friends!

Sorry I'm getting to this post late. I had a hair appointment this AM and did some running around.

I hope you had a lovely weekend. It was a really nice mellow one here. Filled with getting things done around the house. Matt & I running usual errands. Out for dinner one night. And Matt and I spent a lot of nice time with Annie - as she was around a lot this weekend too. Cozy home life filled with fun meals, games, conversation....can't ask for more. 🏡 ♥️

My back is still a bugger - but PT is in progress and I think an MRI is in my future. Thank you so much for the wonderful prayers, support and love about it all. I know it will heal...it's just a long slow process right now.

And thanks again to those who entered the blogaversary drawing and shared such nice comments. I look forward to another one again next year! 😊

TIPS OR SOMETHING TO SHARE:

FROM THE CAMERA:

My sweet #15

Last week Annie's hockey team had senior night. Annie is only a junior but the junior parents help a lot with making senior night happen - here I caught a pic of one of the senior Moms with her kiddo. It was a great night. The team won and Annie even had a goal and an assist!

Annie was even on our local news for her goal 😍

Valentine feelings are in the air already. Lol Matt even found my favorite candy bar that is only in Canada and had a box shipped to me.....because I had mentioned the other day they were my fave ever. Geesh, he's a honey.

folks out on the bay - we haven't gone walking out there yet this season

What you folks who don't have snow - must think of us crazy folks of the north. I recently has a company up on my roof to steam out the ice dams. Well, my neighbor has had someone up working on his roof today. It's just where we live & the things we gotta do. Lol

PRAYER LIST:

For an end to the conflict in the Ukraine and other areas of the world living in war & fear. For peace and unity in this country, especially from hate and shootings or violence.  For anyone sick, suffering, in pain or fear... that God bring them comfort and peace. For His Light and Love to cast out the dark everywhere 🙏

PRAYER, INSPIRATIONAL QUOTE OR DEVOTIONAL:

I hope you have an amazing week! I'm sharing this with Sandra of Diary of a SAHM for Happy Homemaker Monday.

  3. good to hear you had a good weekend, we were kind of quiet, did a little running around and lunch with friends after church on Sunday.
Congrats to Annie, how neat to be on the news too!
Having to work on a slippery roof isn't my idea of fun times, I wonder how many times they fall.
I finally just put up all my snowmen this week, so they will be up into February, I will probably get my Valentine things a week prior and keep it up for a couple weeks after :)
Hope you see good improvement in your back soon!

  4. In my head the "weather outside is frightful" is on a loop when I see your weather. Stay in and stay warm so you can heal that back! Another cozy week and weekend sounds like it would be nice based on the weather I've been seeing your way. I have to say I'm glad not to be dealing with the constant ice dams from the U.P. anymore! Such a dangerous winter job. Good time for national soup month!

That's so cool that Annie made the news! I've been decorating for Valentines also trying to brighten up all the gray days. Take care of yourself and your back. Have a GREAT week my friend.

  5. Enjoyed reading your post this morning! Still praying that your back continues to heal and you feel better. Way to go, Annie! How exciting to be on the news. Okay, we have a bit of snow here (sometimes) but I have no idea what an ice dam on a roof might be? Those candy bars look so good. Hope you have a wonderful week!

  6. Sounds like you had a nice week. I love the snowy pictures. We are finally getting some here! II don't think it will be nearly as much as predicted though. We were supposed to have enchiladas last week too and didn't get around to it! Now we are out of cheese! Maybe next week. Enjoy!

  7. Prayers that your back starts to feel better!! Back pain is no fun at all. Your honey is super sweet getting your candy:) I am a California girl and I moved to Georgia, I am not a fan of snow. I was the first day it snowed here, but never again....lol.
    Your prayer list was touching!!
    Gentle hugs,
