Happy Homemaker Monday

Hello and Happy new week to you Friends 😘

How's it going in your world? Did you have a restful weekend or busy one? It sure has felt busy here - but in the best ways.

This past weekend we went a few hours away to visit some of my cousins that still hadn't really met or spent time with Matt. And my son and Jill live in that neck of the woods too. So we got time with all of them! And Annie had been out of town at a friend's cabin and drove over to be with us for the weekend too, and stayed at the hotel with Matt and I. It was such a fun time!! They all just loved Matt and vice versa. :) These busy times makes the weekends go so fast...but family time is the best! I pray every day in gratitude for the amazing family and friends I've been gifted. I have such a thankful heart.

We hung out at my cousin Susie and her hubby's home one night. They have a lovely "party" deck. They grilled for us and my other cousin, Cathy, and her hubby came over, as well as their daughter, Esme, who is Annie's age and in college in CO. Their other daughter was out of town in New York with friends. We gabbed and laughed, played games and enjoyed a lovely summer night. 💗

The next day we met for brunch before saying goodbye to the cousins. And we made future plans for other visits. :)

And then Aaron and Jill wanted to take us to their favorite arcade and gamer/comics stores. Matt and I always have so much fun with our kiddos no matter what we do :) Annie then hopped in her car to head home. But Matt and I made a stop at Trader Joe's first. We had brought a cooler of stuff for the BBQ and so I wanted to take that chance to use it and get some great Trader Joe's stuff ....because we don't have one close by here. Major success and found lots of wonderful goodies! 😋

And now it looks to be a lovely week ahead with great weather so I'm hoping to finally get out on our pontoon, do some golfing, and go for some walks with Ruby.

We are still treasuring these gifts of summer!☀️💛

THINKING ABOUT:

How it looks like the prime of summer out my window - garden is getting really full, lilies are out in abundance, hanging baskets are still looking good. The grass is so green and the bay is up (it had been low but we finally had lots of rain). Peak summer days for sure!

TIPS OR SOMETHING TO SHARE:

FROM THE CAMERA:

On Friday night Matt & I went out for a date night to mini golf - fun excuse to put makeup on and get cleaned up. Yay for the season of skorts, sundresses and cute sandals.

The golf course had so many pretty pots of flowers everywhere:

Family fun time visiting, BBQ'ing and then gaming time with kiddos:

Matt and Annie head-to-head and Matt beat her by just a little 😉

My sweet Girl and her Bestie on the trip with them and their family. The garden, lilies, and pots overflowing:

PRAYER LIST:

For an end to the conflicts all over the world and anyone living in war & fear. For peace and unity in this country, especially from hate and shootings or violence.  For anyone sick, suffering, in pain, fear, loneliness etc ... that God bring them comfort and peace.  🙏🏻

For Christ's Light and Love to cast out the darkness everywhere and help the world find its way. 🙏🏻

PRAYER, INSPIRATIONAL QUOTE OR DEVOTIONAL:

Saw this and gave me a giggle and reminded me of Ruby :)

I hope you're having very happy days my Friends!

  2. I'm so glad that you had a wonderful time with family and that Matt was able to fit right in! I'm super jealous of your weather (I'll have it in a couple more days - can't wait!) and of your breakfast! That sounds so good. I love lemon things! I'll have to see if Jeff will make me some lemon scones! LOL (he's the baker in the family for sure!)
