Happy Homemaker Monday

Happy Monday Friends

I hope that you had a wonderful weekend and a blessed Easter for those that celebrated yesterday. We had family clean up day on Saturday and accomplished a lot around here. I also did a lot of baking and food prep. Then yesterday was mass as a family and with my Mom. And then my in-law's and my Mom came over for Easter dinner. Nice family time and it flew by! My kiddos are on Spring break this week so more fun ahead too. ;)

I'm sorry life took over last week and I didn't get on here the end of the week. I should have more time this week, even with kiddos being home, as I will need to take it easy after my biopsy so it will allow for more "me" time and I plan to catch up and visit with you all. I will also do some more posts this week - including all those recipes I owe you! Lol

THE WEATHER OUTSIDE IS:

Cold and gray today - low 30's. Maybe some snow over next couple of days and going to stay cold in only the 20's and 30's.  Spring where are you??

ON THE BREAKFAST PLATE THIS MORNING:

strawberry rhubarb shortcake greek yogurt (it was yummy!) and hazelnut coffee

RIGHT NOW I AM:

Listening to Ed Sheeran radio. Helped my daughter and her friend get Ruby's coat on her as they're heading out to take her for a walk

AS I LOOK OUTSIDE MY WINDOW

Gray and it just looks cold out. I can see quite a bit of grass peeking out among the snow on our back hill now. But sounds like it won't last if we're going to get another covering of the white stuff

AS I LOOK AROUND THE HOUSE:

Pretty clean from the weekend - I did the last load of dishes left over from yesterday earlier. I can hear my son practicing his drums downstairs ;)

ON THIS WEEK'S TO DO LIST:

Take my Mom to doc appointment, kiddo soccer and hockey practices, my biopsy, final religious ed class for the season, errands/post office, projects around the house, fun outings with kiddos

CURRENTLY READING:

I'm planning to read Whispering in French by Sophia Nash next, but haven't started it yet

ON THE TV TODAY:

Timeless, The Spring Baking Championship, The Good Doctor, The Resident, American Idol, This is Us, Will and Grace, Greys Anatomy, Gold Rush, Survivor, Billions, Call the Midwife

ON THE MENU THIS WEEK:

MONDAY: ham tetrazzini, garlic bread, leftover strawberry spinach salad from Easter

TUESDAY: leftovers

WEDNESDAY: last of ham - ham, cheese, & veggie egg bake, muffins, fruit

THURSDAY: roast chicken, parmesan hasselback potatoes, veggies

FRIDAY: order in?

WHAT I AM CREATING AT THE MOMENT

A few fun projects I will share soon. I will finally share a post, this week,  with the recipe scrapbook I made!

NEW RECIPE I WANT TO TRY THIS WEEK:

The ham tetrazzini is new. I will share the german puff pancakes and the apricot chicken recipes from last week. If I get to it I will share the ham tetrazzini too!

TIP OF THE WEEK:

I have done this and it worked!

FROM THE CAMERA:

My kiddos know about the bunny and so to make hunting for goodies more fun I now have them do a scavenger hunt each year. We had this fun with them on Saturday after getting our family cleaning time done ;)

I just love the new salad bowl and servers I picked up at Pier 1. It's melamine so it will be great outside for this summer on the deck too. I made our traditional Easter strawberry spinach salad also with mandarin oranges, red onion, homemade sugared pecans and poppyseed dressing

Dessert this year was fruit pizza cookies and strawberry cupcakes some topped with strawberry "carrots" (carrot patch cupcakes) and some topped with robins eggs candies

I forgot to take pics in our Easter "finery" after church, but remembered to at least capture a photo at the dinner table. I love my family so much xoxo

  8. Boo hoo. I was looking forward to seeing the Easter dresses. Maybe you'll wear them again just for photos?

Let me know as soon as you get your biopsy results. I know everything is fine, but I like the reassurance.

I was wearing my bikini this morning and my Long Johns this afternoon. Crazy weather here. And a freeze warning for tonight. Good Grief!
