Soup Season

Hi Friends! 

I hope you've been having a wonderfully cozy week. ;) It's been in the 30's temperature wise here most of this week and I kind of love being back to comfort food season. Dreaming on the yummy things I want to cook and bake. There is just something about coming in to a warm and delicious smelling kitchen when it's cold out, isn't there? 

I especially love coming home from running errands or being out in the cold and there is  something already cooking away in the slow cooker. It's just so comforting to know that dinner has been cooking most of the day and will be hot and ready when we want to sit down and eat. I know I told you about the bone broth I like to make on Monday's post. It created this yummy chicken noodle soup we had this week:

And since I had soups and slow cooker on my mind I thought I'd share a few more delish looking soups that I'd pinned on pinterest recently. You can find my soups board here. And my slow cooker board here.

Doesn't this potato soup look good? This is nice and easy, as potato soup can be more of a process to make sometimes... but the slow cooker makes it really easy. This recipe calls for making up a little roux at the end to stir into the soup and thicken it up along with some evaporated milk. My Hubby likes soups more like this - thick, creamy and more like a meal. Brothy soups to him are more of just an appetizer. Lol You can find the recipe for this soup here.
