NORTHWOODS SCRAPBOOK : Sharing a love for cooking, gardening and paper crafting from my cozy home on a bay in the Northwoods.
Carrie, those vintage cards bring back pleasant memories! Update for you! Made your Valentine cake over the weekend and everyone loved it! The easiest way to make a Boston cream cake ever! Thanks again for positing the recipe! Happy Spring
Oh thanks so much! And I'm so glad you loved the cake like we do!! Happy Spring to you. xoxo
Carrie,It looks so festive and spring like here in your sweet space! And we are getting those winds here too!!!Have a cozy evening, my friend. : )
Looks like someone has springified their site?! Very purdy:)It's been windy the last few days, but now it's calmed down a bit, I know...get the violin out lol.xxx
Thanks Babes! Have fun shaking it up once in a while and trying to pretty-ify up the blog. Looks like I may need to feel bad for the "out East" folks with the big snowstorms barreling down! xo
So cute! It's so windy here too - crazy!
Hang in there, My Sweet Friend. Spring is just around the corner. The robins are walking all over my back yard, cocking their heads to look for worms. The forsythia is waving its lemon yellow arms around. My violets are blooming and the tulips are up. Keep on creating, and it will sneak up on you in a bit.
Oh how adorable, I love vintage cards. Hope they work and Spring is just around the corner with its lovely showers and flowers. Meantime, if I posted a few Autumn pics do you think our lost Autumn might come back to us??
It wouldn't hurt to try Trish! Lol So I say post away!! xoxo
Such sweet vintage illustrations! I loved the last picture and I know exactly where it came from. I had the book as a child, "The Tall Book o of Makebelieve" with illustrations by Garth Williams. I actually looked on Amazon just now and see it is selling for $149 for the cheapest one and $1,800.00 for the best!! Used!! I know it's a coveted children's book because of Garth Williams' work. My sister got our book :( Wendy
Oh that's so cool to know Wendy! I bet I'd love that book then, as that photo just speaks to my soul. That Mr. Williams obviously had talent in illustrations. ;) xoxo
