NORTHWOODS SCRAPBOOK : Sharing a love for cooking, gardening and paper crafting from my cozy home on a bay in the Northwoods.
Hi Carrie!!!I thought I lost you for good. Arnie cleared some stuff on our computer and I couldn't remember the name of your blog! Duh!!! I love your tip of the week. I was going to buy something at BB&B to put those bags in. I also like the flowers on the white mixer. I just bought a white retro teapot with blue flowers. Congratulations on winning SB's book! I should make it to WI, by the end of Summer. So much work, and I am trying to squeeze in my swimming too.Hugs,Margot
Oh yay Margot!! So nice to hear from you again and I'm so happy you found me!! Thanks for the update and the nice comments my darling Gal! I still can't believe out of all those folks that I won Susan's book!! Woo hoo, maybe I should play the lottery? Feeling pretty lucky. ;)Keep up the great work with swimming! Summer season is rapidly approaching so you'll be a midwestern girl before you know it. xoxo
P.S. I miss LILACS!!!
Wish I could send you some Margot! They're so perfectly delicious right now!! xoxo
Pretty and joyful!!! xx
A lot like you :)xo
I love lilacs! Our are done, but I enjoyed your photos.
Ours were really at peak this week, but just starting to fade a bit now. Thanks Hon! xo
I LOVE lilacs! Ours bloomed quickly at Mother's Day and were gone within a week :-( Enjoy them!! :-) Have a great day!Blessings,Jill
Me too Jill!! Our pretties in the north always bloom so much later than everyone else. They're just starting to fade a bit now. I always hate to see them go too. xo
Lovely lilacs! I love your crocheted table runner, too! My lilacs are done blooming, but you never forget that fragrance! xo Karen
Thanks Karen my Girl! That smell truly is the best!! I love that runner too. I've had it for ages and bought it in a market when I was visiting relatives in Poland. My cousin there had one like it and I loved it and she helped me find some like hers. ;) xoxo
Lovely lilac! Mine is just coming out too. I found dipping the freshly cut stems in boiling water for a minute makes them last longer in the vase xx
Thanks Alison and great tip!! Hope holding on to that fragrance as long as possible too! ;)xo
I have enjoyed reading your blog, and have nominated you for a Liebster award!! Find more info here if you choose to accept: https://anniehow.wordpress.com/2015/06/04/liebster-award/
Wow! I'm honored Hon and will need to check what this is all about. ;)xo
Nothing, and I mean NOTHING, smells quite like lilacs. They can fill a room with fragrance quicker than Fisherman can after eating a burrito.TMI?Enjoy your weekend!
Bahahaha Doreen!! And I feel your pain - I live with a hubby too, not to mention a teenage eating machine, so I feel like I practically live in a cloud!! Lol ;)xo
